About

My name is Elizabeth Hudson and I am a primary school teacher in Sheffield.  I have always been passionate about environmental education and I started off teaching geography in secondary school for six years.  I moved to work in primary schools and where I do a mixture of teaching geography and supporting in class as an assistant.  I am also working towards my Forest Schools qualification and I have recently joined the team at 'Just One Tree' who are a social enterprise aimed at encouraging schools and businesses to plant trees and give back to the environment.

This blog is a platform for me to share my knowledge gained from years of experience of working in schools and help promote wider education about the environment and awareness of how to get involved.  There are so many projects going on at local and national levels to help protect various plants, animals or habitats or get involved in initiatives such as limit plastic pollution.

I hope that this website is a useful source of information about how we can become more responsible for our planet and teach our children both how and why it is important to look after it.
