Cloud gazing

Clouds come in all different shapes, sizes and colours. Some days there can be no clouds; other days, the whole sky can be covered in cloud so that you can hardly see any sky at all! Clouds can be white and fluffy, or dark, grey and stormy-looking. Clouds are very important because they bring rain which helps our plants to grow. This rain can also fall as hail, sleet or snow if it’s very cold!

Activity

Look up at the sky. What clouds can you see? How fast are they moving? How much do they cover the sky? Can you spot any clouds that look like animals or objects?
Fill in the observations and then sketch any clouds that you see.
